Our client, an entrepreneurial and growing midsized law firm, with a sophisticated Labor & Employment practice, is seeking an associate who enjoys advising employers, building trusted client relationships, and becoming the lawyer clients call before workplace issues become disputes.
You’ll work closely with employers on a broad range of management side labor and employment matters, including day-to-day workplace counseling, employee discipline and terminations, workplace investigations, employment policies and handbooks, wage and hour compliance, restrictive covenant and trade secret matters, leave and accommodation issues, executive employment agreements, reductions in force, labor relations, and practical strategies that help clients manage risk while achieving their business objectives. This is sophisticated employer side work with meaningful client contact and the opportunity to develop sound business judgment alongside strong legal skills.
The ideal candidate will have developed within the management side labor and employment group of a boutique or midsized law firm and is looking for more than the next job. You should be intellectually curious, responsive, practical, and genuinely enjoy partnering with clients. Compensation ranges from $215,000 to $245,000 or more, plus a robust performance bonus and an exceptional benefits package. Admission to NY Bar is required.
