A sophisticated Trusts & Estates practice serving HNW and UHNW individuals and families, family offices, and fiduciaries is seeking an Associate with three to five years of solid law firm training and a strong foundation in estate planning and administration. This practice is technically rigorous, judgment driven, and structured for someone who wants meaningful responsibility and close engagement with experienced partners.

The work spans complex estate, gift, generation skipping, and income tax planning, along with charitable and philanthropic structures, business succession planning, pre and post nuptial agreements, and multigenerational wealth strategies. The associate also gain exposure to trust and estate administration and Surrogate’s Court matters.

You will work directly with partners on planning strategy, structuring, and execution, rather than in a narrow or purely supportive role. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, excellent writing ability, and comfort operating in high expectation settings. Compensation includes salary ($195K to $230K) plus a liberal bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Admission to practice in New York is required. A writing sample, law school transcript, and a brief description of the most complex estate planning matter you have handled and your role in it will be requested during the interview process.
