Our client, a 100-year-old dominant banking and finance law firm is seeking an associate with four (4)-to-six (6) years of experience in restructuring and bankruptcy in a Big Law or peer firm to join their highly successful team. In depth experience in all areas of debtor and creditors’ rights including the review of contracts, restructuring agreements, general insolvency issues, strategic planning, and the discovery and analysis of fraud is required for this role.
This high-profile firm is comprised of attorneys nationally recognized experts in the bankruptcy restructuring world. They are well known for the fiduciary roles in which members of the firm have served, including, as trustee, examiner, receiver, patient care ombudsman, auditor, referee and others. Ideal candidate will work with partners whose clients are committees of unsecured creditors whose members include trade creditors, service providers, bondholders (senior or subordinated), indenture trustees, undersecured lenders, litigation and liquidation trusts, unions, governmental entities, former officers, directors and employees.
A minimum of four years of experience is required. You must be barred and in good standing in NYS.
