This position has great potential for advancement within an active and expanding Banking & Finance practice group of a progressive mid-sized firm. Experience in trade finance or fund finance (e.g., lending against capital commitments or subscriptions for capital) is a plus. Extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and closing domestic and international financing transactions (both syndicated and bilateral, secured, and unsecured) and a strong knowledge of the UCC and Bankruptcy Code are required.
For the ideal candidate, this role touches on end to end banking transactions, lending, letter of credit and other transactions for banks and other large financial institution clients of the firm. A minimum of seven years (7) of experience in a peer size or larger law firm is required. Exceptional client service skills and steady, professional demeanor are also required.
Bachelor’s degree and JD required. Must be admitted and in good standing in NY. Compensation (190K-215K plus bonus and great benefits) is based upon experience and subject matter expertise.
