Litigation Associate – High-Impact White Collar & Investigations Practice

Our client, a highly regarded midsize law firm with a nationally respected White Collar & Investigations practice, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4-5 years of experience in white collar criminal defense, regulatory enforcement, and government investigations. This is a prime opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing trial team working on sophisticated, high-stakes matters. The team represents corporate and individual clients in federal and state investigations, enforcement actions, and criminal proceedings, and the associate will play a lead role in developing trial themes, synthesizing complex evidence, and preparing witness strategy and argument outlines.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience conducting internal investigations, drafting presentations to regulators, managing document reviews, and preparing final investigative reports involving allegations of financial fraud, FCPA violations, whistleblower complaints, and corporate corruption. Exposure to matters involving insider trading, criminal antitrust, AML, and SEC/DOJ proceedings is essential. A background that includes second-chair trial experience, policy drafting, and global risk assessments is highly desirable. Candidates with prior secondment experience or service on Criminal Justice Act matters are strongly encouraged to apply.

This associate will work closely with a prominent white collar partner and gain hands-on experience across trial strategy, client presentations, and regulatory engagement. Responsibilities include preparing clients for interviews and trial testimony, managing complex discovery, leading document review teams, and handling substantive legal research and dispositive motion drafting. A strong background in securities fraud, financial institution fraud, and construction industry investigations is a plus.

Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, and be admitted to practice in New York. Federal clerkship or prosecutorial experience is a plus. This position offers a base salary of $200K–$225K, plus a generous bonus structure and top-tier benefits.
