Construction Partner or Counsel Opportunity | No Book Required

About the job

Our client, a Chambers rated, highly sought after construction practice, is seeking to add a transactional Construction Partner or Counsel to its team. Although a portable book of business is favored, it is not required for this role. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of sophisticated construction law experience, with significant concentration in drafting and negotiating complex construction and development agreements.

The Partner or Counsel should have experience representing developers, owners, landlords, contractors and other participants in major public and private construction projects. The practice includes drafting and negotiating construction and development agreements, construction management agreements, and agreements involving adjoining properties and design professionals.

Of particular interest to this group and firm are attorneys who understand the business and risk issues underlying complex construction projects and can advise clients throughout the development and construction process. Superior drafting and negotiating skills are required, along with the ability to work directly with sophisticated clients and take responsibility for significant matters.

This is an opportunity for an experienced construction attorney to join an established practice and assume an increasingly significant role in its growth, leadership and long term future. Compensation includes a salary in the range of $285K to $350K, plus liberal bonus and a top tier benefits package. Must be admitted to practice law in New York.
