Our client is a top-tier firm with a forward-looking AI strategy, seeking an AI Innovation Strategy Associate Director to join its AI team. Known for its pioneering approach in transforming legal services through technology, this forward-thinking firm offers a high-impact role where the Associate Director will report to the Director of AI Innovation Strategy. As the leader of the AI Knowledge Strategy Team, the Associate Director will play a key role in shaping and executing the firm’s AI vision, driving product development, and delivering innovative solutions to clients with integrity and responsibility.
In this strategic role, the Associate Director will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the AI Knowledge Strategy Team, focusing on the integration of AI across practice areas, training programs, and client services. Collaboration is key, as the role requires working closely with attorneys, practice groups, Professional Development, and Information Systems. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, data security, and ethical AI implementation, ensuring that all initiatives align with the firm’s commitment to excellence and client-first service.
An essential aspect of this role is building relationships across departments and with clients. The Associate Director will engage with clients to understand their needs and tailor AI-driven solutions that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. The position also requires evaluating emerging technologies, refining implementation strategies, and positioning the firm as a thought leader in the legal and innovation spaces through panel discussions, conferences, and industry networking.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of strategic AI innovation experience, in addition to having practiced law in a Big Law setting for a minimum of 3 years. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI, or a related field is required, along with a J.D. from a top-tier law school. Experience managing a team of AI professionals and cross-departmental collaboration is essential. Knowledge of AI frameworks, predictive analytics, and legal product development, coupled with strategic leadership and hands-on execution, will ensure success in this role.
