Our client, an expanding boutique platform in Northern New Jersey, is seeking a Corporate Associate (4–7 years) to join its growing transactional and middle market M&A practice. This opportunity is particularly well suited for an ambitious attorney seeking broader deal ownership, closer client engagement, and a more visible role within a growing practice.
The firm represents entrepreneurs, founders, investors, and privately held businesses in sophisticated mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, partnership and operating agreement matters, commercial contracts, and broader business side counseling. Attorneys work directly with business principals on active transactions and are given meaningful exposure to structuring, negotiations, strategy, and execution throughout the life cycle of a deal.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling end-to-end M&A transactions, drafting and negotiating principal transaction documents, managing due diligence, coordinating closings, and advising clients on broader corporate and commercial matters. Experience with asset and equity acquisitions, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, commercial agreements, and general corporate counseling is strongly preferred.
The practice is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and highly interactive, offering attorneys the ability to work closely with decisionmakers while continuing to develop both technically and commercially. Compensation is expected to range from $200K to $250K++, plus bonus and an excellent benefits package. The position also offers a flexible hybrid work environment and a genuine long-term growth opportunity within a sophisticated boutique practice. New Jersey and/or New York admission preferred.
